Alem Monthly Reset · September 2026

Your body needs movement, not perfect posture.

A simple two-minute reset for your neck, shoulders, and lower back during busy, desk-bound days.

Hello Alem family,

September always feels like a fresh start. Schedules get busier, work gets more demanding, and many of us end up spending longer hours at a desk or laptop.

I wanted to share a very simple reset you can use during the day to help your neck, shoulders, and lower back feel less stiff.

Your body needs movement, not perfect posture.

Even a good sitting position can become uncomfortable when you stay there too long. Keep the top of your screen at or just below eye level, support your feet, let your shoulders relax, and change positions often.

Small adjustments throughout the day can make a meaningful difference in how your body feels.

Try this today

A two-minute desk reset

Move slowly and stay within a comfortable range.

  1. Reset your position

Sit back with your feet flat or supported. Bring your head gently over your torso and let your shoulders soften away from your ears.

  2. Wake up your upper back

Slowly roll your shoulders backward five times. Then gently bring your shoulder blades toward each other, hold for three seconds, and release. Repeat three times.

  3. Change position

Stand up, reach your arms upward only as far as feels comfortable, and walk for about one minute. Repeat the reset whenever you notice yourself getting stiff.

Move gently. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, numbness, or tingling.

Why 30 minutes matters

At Alem, every follow-up visit is a full 30 minutes because I never want you to feel rushed. We check how you responded, assess what has changed, work on the muscles and soft tissues, adjust when appropriate, and finish with movement or stretching. The structure is consistent, but the care is personalized to what your body needs that day.

Wishing you a healthy and active September!

Cheers,
Dr. Daniel
